In 1979, at the tender age of just 73, Amado Paredes founded the vineyard Viñedos Torreón de Paredes S.A., in the Cachapoal valley in the town of Rengo 130 km, south of Santiagon. Today, the winery exports to over 15 countries and 'The Don' was still very much involved in the business, until is death at the age of 94 in the year 2000. With its strong Family tradition, the business is continued by the Dons' sons, Alvaro and Javier. Torreon de Paredes wines are a strong quality presence both locally and around the world.
