Château Roudier 1996 -
Montagne St. Emilion AOC
This is the finest wine producing estate in the Montagne St Emilion appellation, consistently making full, rich and intensely flavoured wines. Torreon de Parades -
Merlot Reserva 2003
In 1979, aged just 73, Amado Paredes founded Viñedos Torreón de
Paredes S.A., a winery with 150 hectares of vineyards south of Santiagon. He was still very
much involved in the business when he died at the age of 94 in 2000. This is a very mature
Merlot, aged in French oak casks for 10 months. An intense ruby, with black ripe fruits, chassis
and chocolate flavours. Soft and round in the mouth, this is a very elegant wine
Bodegas Beronia Crianza 2000 -
Rioja
A Spanish heady mix of Tempranillo, Grenache and a little local Graciano, produce vanilla aromas over wild fruits - raspberry, blackberry and a touch of cherry, with hints of toasted bread and green spices. Well structured, with high-roast, spice and liquorice flavours.
This is a classy Rioja.
